Karnes County: How many students were enrolled in Kenedy Elementary School in 2024-25?

Kenedy Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Karnes County schools, with 384 students in the 2024-25 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students enrolled in the 2024-25 school year, 52.9% were boys, and 47.1% were girls.

Data also showed that Hispanic students made up 87.5% of the student body, the largest share of enrollment in Kenedy Elementary School, followed by white students at 8.6%, Black students at 2.1%, Asian students at 1%, and multiracial students at 0.8%.

Among the 11 schools in Karnes County, Roger E. Sides Elementary School ranked second in enrollment with 296 students, while Karnes City High School welcomed 281 students and ranked third in the 2024-25 school year.

Kenedy Elementary School is part of Kenedy ISD, which roughly covers schools within Karnes County with its main office in Kenedy.

In the previous school year, Kenedy Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Karnes County schools.

Texas has the nation’s second-largest K-12 public school system, serving about 5.5 million students with a student-to-teacher ratio of roughly 15:1.
