Victoria College issued the following announcement on April 14

Victoria College’s Museum of the Coastal Bend may be temporarily closed to the public, but it is continuing to work to keep audience members connected and engaged.

Museum staff members are posting educational activities online and implementing strategies to document the Coastal Bend’s response to the historic COVID-19 crisis.

“Educational resources and family activities are uploaded weekly to the museum’s new education blog,” said Sue Prudhomme, VC’s executive director of cultural affairs. “An increased social media presence highlights the unique heritage of the Coastal Bend.”

The museum invites community members to share their experiences during the pandemic. Contributed photos and stories will be placed online in the museum’s virtual exhibit, “Coronavirus at the Coastal Bend.”

To submit photos and stories or access the museum’s educational resources and activities, visit MuseumoftheCoastalBend.org.
