CALHOUN COUNTY ISD: Calhoun County ISD announces early release for November 20 and other playoff game details

Calhoun City ISD issued the following announcement on Nov. 16

Calhoun County ISD will release early on Friday, Nov. 20 at approximately 12:30 p.m. If there is a grade specific pick-up schedule, that information will be provided by your campus principal. Afternoon bus routes will run according to the early release schedule.

Lunch meals will be served in the cafeteria, according to the campus schedule, prior to the early release. Afterschool meals will not be served.

Calhoun Sandcrab football playoff game information:

·         The Calhoun High School Sandcrabs will play against Boerne High School at Indians Stadium in Jourdanton on Friday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Our Sandcrabs will be the home team.

·         On Monday and Tuesday, students participating/performing in the game (football team, cheerleaders, band and Sandettes) will have an opportunity to purchase a limited number of tickets for their families to be able to attend. The tickets are $7 for adults, and $4 for students.

·         IF there are tickets still available after student participant families have had a chance to purchase them, they will be sold to the public on Wednesday, Nov. 18, starting at 1 p.m. The district will notify the public about the status of tickets available to the public on Wednesday. Again, the tickets are $7 for adults, and $4 for students.

·         The district is not providing fan buses.

·         Masks/facial coverings should be worn into the game and throughout the game.

·         Again, the Port Lavaca Wave newspaper has applied for a sub-license to be able to livestream the game. They will notify the district and the public about their status later in the week.
