City of George West issued the following announcement on Dec. 8
The Lighting of the Park” was a huge success! We had so many people that showed up for the drive through event. The department, practicing COVID-19 protocols, was able to interact with our citizens who participated.
During this pandemic, it sure was a “breath of fresh air” to see this event happen while other events across our nation are being canceled. Thank you to the city staff for making this work, from the mayor and council, city manager and asst city secretary, director of public works and his staff, the municipal court staff, officers within our department, as well as citizens who volunteered to make this come to fruition. You guys are legit!!!
I went live on FB so only got a few pics but I wanted to share what I have with you. Pay attention to the smiles, from the children to the adults and officer Ramos! That is what it is about!!!
