Of the 3,398 people living in Karnes in 2020, 47.3 percent (1,606) were women and 52.7 percent (1,792) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the North Coastal News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 212. In the 65 and over age range, there were 193 females and 106 males.
