Kenedy ISD Education: 729 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 729 students enrolled in Kenedy ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.5% of them were boys, and 49.5% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 87.5% of the Kenedy ISD total enrollment.

Kenedy ISD roughly covers schools within Karnes County with its main office in Kenedy.

Among the four schools in Kenedy ISD, Kenedy Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 356 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
