There were 890 students enrolled in Bloomington ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 7.6% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.3% of them were boys, and 48.7% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 85.4% of the Bloomington ISD total enrollment.

Bloomington ISD roughly covers schools within Victoria County with its main office in Placedo.

Among the four schools in Bloomington ISD, Bloomington Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 265 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
