Kenedy ISD schools Education: 65 white students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 65 white students enrolled in Kenedy ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 10.2% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Kenedy ISD schools welcomed 729 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 8.9% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Kenedy ISD roughly covers schools within Karnes County and has a main office in Kenedy.

Among the four schools in Kenedy ISD schools, Kenedy Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 32 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
