Which Refugio County school enrolled the most students in 2024-25 school year?

Refugio Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Refugio County schools, with 300 students in the 2024-25 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students enrolled in the 2024-25 school year, 50% of the students were girls, and 50% were boys.

Data also showed that Hispanic students made up 76.7% of the student body, the largest share of enrollment in Refugio Elementary School, followed by white students at 14.7%, Black students at 5%, multiracial students at 2.7%, and Asian students at 1%.

Among the seven schools in Refugio County, Woodsboro High School ranked second in enrollment with 233 students, while Refugio High School welcomed 222 students and ranked third in the 2024-25 school year.

Refugio Elementary School is part of Refugio ISD, which roughly covers schools within Refugio County with its main office in Refugio.

In the previous school year, Refugio Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Refugio County schools.
