AUSTIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE: ACC's FREE tutoring goes virtual. Get 1-on-1 support today.

Austin Community College issued the following announcement on May 9

Online Tutoring

Online support is available for enrolled Austin Community College (ACC) students. Our Online Learning Lab (OLL) Tutors are dedicated professionals who create supportive and enriched online environments to assist you when you need them. Our goal is to provide free, confidential and convenient academic support for all ACC students requesting online support. Tutoring is done with ACC personnel and/or a Brainfuse coach.

Austin Community College, in partnership with Brainfuse offers all ACC students 300 minutes (5 hours) of free online tutoring services each semester. A pre-scheduled appointment with an ACC tutor is unlimited.

Steps to get started working with an ACC Tutor for unlimited hours:

  • Examine our Tutoring Schedules, before requesting tutoring for a specific day/time
  • Complete the Online Tutoring Request Form
 Brainfuse will allow you to ...

  • Connect with a Live Brainfuse Tutor [only 5 hours per semester]
  • Log on www.brainfuse.com through your Blackboard class
  • Submit your writing assignment for review by a Tutor
  • View sample Math and English lessons in Skill Surfer
  •  Technology Requirements
You will need to use the Google Chrome browser. The program used for online tutoring is not compatible with Internet Explorer or Safari, and may not function smoothly with Mozilla Firefox. If your only option is Firefox then you can try disabling add-ons for better functionality. An iPad app is available.
