54 percent of applicants to the University of Houston-Victoria were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Houston-Victoria, 51 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 65 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Victoria enrolled 4,336 students in fall 2018, including 3,201 in undergraduate and 1,135 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas, and 1 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (43 percent) and white (30 percent).

The school admitted 54 percent of the 5,531 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 10 percent enrolled.
