There were 786 students enrolled in Skidmore-Tynan ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 2.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.3% of them were boys, and 48.7% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 71% of the Skidmore-Tynan ISD total enrollment.

Skidmore-Tynan ISD roughly covers schools within Bee County with its main office in Skidmore.

Among the three schools in Skidmore-Tynan ISD, Skidmore-Tynan Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 368 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
