There were 427 students enrolled in Woodsboro ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.1% of them were girls, and 49.9% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 59% of the Woodsboro ISD total enrollment.

Woodsboro ISD roughly covers schools within Refugio County with its main office in Woodsboro.

Among the two schools in Woodsboro ISD, Woodsboro High School recorded the highest enrollment of 221 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
