How many African American students were enrolled in Goliad ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 47 African American students enrolled in Goliad ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.2% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Goliad ISD schools welcomed 1,312 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 3.6% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Goliad ISD roughly covers schools within Goliad County and has a main office in Goliad.

Among the three schools in Goliad ISD schools, Goliad High School recorded the highest enrollment of African American students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 19 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
