Of the 6,214 students attending Karnes County schools, 55.6% were Hispanic. White students comprised the second-largest ethnic group in the county, making up 25.6% of the student body.
In the previous school year, Hispanic students were also the most represented group in Karnes County districts, comprising 71.2% of the student body.
